Job Description:
We have an Internship program to assist with your company’s staffing needs. As you all know interns are an invaluable resource for the advertising industry. Every summer we receive more intern applications than we can accommodate and we need your help finding homes for these up-and-comers. The prospective interns are juniors, seniors and graduate students, majoring in advertising, business, communication or other related programs.
The thinkLA Internship committee screens all of the applications, and holds interviews. The selected candidates are then matched up with agencies for consideration. The Committee will forward qualified, pre-screened candidates to you for review. You then decide whom you would like to interview. The final decision is yours.
Interns may work a minimum of 20 hours and a maximum of 40 hours per week. Intern placements may be paid or unpaid (school credit), depending on your specific needs.
We would like to ask for your participation and support of the program by requesting a thinkLA Intern for your company for this summer. Interns will be ready for placement as early as mid-May 2010. We encourage students and employers to determine the best schedule for both parties.
The Internship Program has offered employers a cost-effective opportunity to identify and recruit student talent. For students it offers an opportunity to gain real-world work experience, establish contacts within the industry, and better prepare them for entry-level employment.
