In 2009, I transferred to CSULB declared as an Aerospace Engineering major. A year later I switch my major to Interpersonal and Organizational Communication Studies.
I joined AMA in 2010 and was hooked immediately after the first meeting. I will always be remembered as “the kid who made it rain at the first meeting.” I quickly made friends with the other members, all while we learned how to “build our own brand.” The creative juices that flowed through the veins of the organization inspired me to run for office.
Formally announced as “Member of the Semester,” I ran for office and was elected Director of Fundraising for the spring 2011.
As current President of the AMA, CSULB chapter, I plan to not only lead my team to the 34th Annual International Collegiate Conference, but also improve our chapter’s reputation. It is my goal to raise $30,000 for our organization, and be recognized for Outstanding Professional Development, Outstanding Chapter Planning, Outstanding Communications, Outstanding Website Award, Outstanding Marketing Week, and more.
